## Which role fits your business?

If you want your products or services featured on other channels, you join as an advertiser. Publishers introduce your offer to their audiences, and you pay commission for an agreed qualifying result.

A partner programme is more than listing products on a marketplace. You need terms, tracking and partnership management. A network listing alone does not guarantee publishers or orders.

## How the advertiser side works

THE ADVERTISER JOURNEY - SIX STAGES**How does your offer reach a publisher's audience?**

Dognet / Awin / TradeTracker

**The network's role**Programmes and relationshipsTracking and reportingCommission settlement

- 01BUSINESS + NETWORK

### Offer and agreement

Define the product or service, target market, commission model and accepted publisher types.

Result: a defined programme

- 02TECHNICAL PREPARATION

### Tracking and publisher materials

Tracking integration, testing, landing pages, creative assets and a product feed where needed.

Result: a tested launch

- 03PUBLISHER

### Publisher approval and promotion

You decide which applicant shops, recommendation sites and creators to accept into your programme. Approved publishers recommend your product or service on their own websites or authorised social channels.

Result: a relevant recommendation

- 04CUSTOMER + BUSINESS

### From click to conversion

The customer orders in your shop, buys through an approved social commerce channel or uses a publisher-specific coupon code. The tracking integration reports the conversion to the platform.

Result: a recorded purchase or booking

- 05ADVERTISER + PLATFORM

### Validation and approval

Purchase validity, fulfilment, cancellations and returns are checked. Commission is approved or declined according to the programme rules.

Result: a validated commission decision

- 06PLATFORM → PUBLISHER

### Finalising payment

The publisher receives payment from the network or direct programme operator named in their agreement. The advertiser settles programme fees. Each platform has its own payment conditions.

Result: settled commission

**Tracking has conditions.**

The tracking window, attribution rules and technical setup affect eligibility. A click alone does not earn a sales commission. Social purchases and coupon codes can only be attributed through tracking supported and configured by that programme. An active business is the basis of the model described here; accepted legal status varies by country and programme. This is a general model; your chosen programme sets the details.

## Why might it be worthwhile?

**Relevant placements:** your offer can appear in content where readers are looking for a solution.

**Publisher fees tied to results:** commission can be linked to an agreed, approved sale rather than simply a click, as in CPC advertising. This can make acquisition costs easier to relate to sales. It is not automatically cheaper: network fees and management costs also count.

**New partnerships:** work with different editorial and sales-support partners. Measure which ones bring genuinely new or additional value.

**You choose your publishers:** you decide which registered recommendation sites, shops and creators applying to your programme are accepted. Joining the network does not automatically give access to your programme; manage approval using the network's tools and terms.

## When does it make sense to start?

It is worth planning when you have a working online sales process, measurable results and margins that can cover commission and related costs. Reliable stock, fulfilment and customer experience matter too.

If buying from your website is difficult, fix that first. Affiliate programmes can refer interested visitors, but they cannot repair a broken checkout or weak offer.

## How do you assess the economics?

ADVERTISER COST BREAKDOWN**What does an order need to cover?**

**Order contribution**Revenue minus direct product and fulfilment costs.

**− Publisher commission**The fee for an agreed and approved result.

**− Other costs**Allocated network, integration and programme management costs.

= The channel's contribution to profit

More orders do not automatically mean more profit. Consider returns and purchases that would have happened without the programme.

Assess the whole programme: approved orders, commission, network fees, technical and management costs, and returns. Track the balance between new customers and shoppers you could reach through other channels.

## What can we help with?

**Preparation:** review the market, offer, operating conditions and suitable networks.

**Launch plan:** prepare application information, a commission model and publisher materials, including points to discuss with the network.

**Technical preparation:** define tracking requirements, product data, landing pages and testing tasks using the network's integration requirements.

**Ongoing support:** offer updates, results reviews and development work within an agreed scope. Specific commitments are set out in a separate proposal.

Dognet, Awin or TradeTracker decides on acceptance and network conditions. We help with preparation and implementation; we do not guarantee acceptance or publisher placements. [Project preparation and contact →](https://affilatemarketing.eu/contact/)

## How does working together begin?

We start with your shop, target market and financial framework. Then we identify launch tasks. After network agreement and approval, technical integration and testing can begin, followed by publisher materials and programme operation.

## Dognet, Awin and TradeTracker for advertisers

Dognet describes a campaign launch consultation. Awin offers different service levels. TradeTracker also requires a discussion of advertiser arrangements and market-specific conditions. Compare market fit, available publishers and total costs.

Awin's UK pricing page, for example, lists platform and tracking fees alongside publisher commission. Fees may differ by market: request terms for your chosen country.
